Even at import prices, this is a bargain -- double CD comp, 2.5 hours of good music. I'm in heaven. When ever anyone asks me "what's that shit you're playing? What's a good introduction?" I tell them "Buy Trance Europe Express." If anything, the third in the series is the best. Where else can you catch muZiq, Richard James (dba Caustic Window), Reload (dba Link), Joey Beltram, Juan Atkins and Eddie Fowlkes in the same box. I've not had a chance to listen to all of this, but in general this is a box full 'o beats -- I could do a decent DJ set with just these two disk in the dual CD player. Cut most likely to rip your head off: A hard choice to make, but check out Emergency Broadcast Network "3:78" Acoustic Bass, heavy kicking drum loops, and a trip through the sampler's hall of fame. This tune turns on a dime every 20 seconds, bugging out in random directions, but you can dance way hard all the way through. And I like the departure from the old cover art, too. -- Kent Williams -- kent@gilligan.cadsi.com Look in the mail header for all sorts of vital information about me.
